As we enter the final two weeks of the high school volleyball regular season, we have a pretty clear idea of who will be making a run at the state championships next month, but a lot can change from now to then. Find out where your team is ranked below
1. Clearwater Central Catholic (14-3)
Last Week: Defeated Calvary Christian (3-1)
This Week: vs Bishop McLaughlin (Tues.)
The Marauders are #1 in the Tampa Bay area for the first time this season, as they come into this week fresh off a key 4-set win over Calvary Christian last week. The Marauders will be battle tested again tonight hosting Bishop McLaughlin (20-2).
2. Bishop McLaughlin (20-2)
Last Week: Defeated Pasco (3-0), Won the Out-of-Door Academy Tournament (Finished 5-0)
This Week: at Clearwater Central Catholic (Tues.), at Carrollwood Day (Thu.)
The Hurricanes ride a 6-game winning streak coming into this week, since a heart felt loss vs Clearwater Central Catholic at the Berkeley Premier back on September 21.
Junior Audrey Koenig leads the team with 212 kills & 43 serving aces this season.
3. Wharton (18-1)
Last Week: Defeated Sickles (3-0), Won the Wharton Harvest Tournament (Finished 4-0)
This Week: vs Steinbrenner (Thu.)
The Lady Wildcats have secured a top spot in the District 7A-7 tournament that will be hosted by Steinbrenner.
Senior Jeanette Henderson leads the team with 142 kills this season.
4. Calvary Christian (19-2)
Last Week: Lost to Clearwater Central Catholic (3-1), Defeated The Rock (3-1) & Defeated First Academy (Orlando), 3-0
This Week: @ Northside Christian (Tues.)
The Lady Warriors have just 3 matches remaining before the District 3A-6 tournament kicks off.
Senior Cathryn Long leads the team & state entering this week, with 320 kills this season.
Senior Ana Volini leads the team with 32 serving aces this season.
5. Osceola (15-0)
Last Week: Defeated Dunedin (3-0), Defeated Gibbs (2-0), Defeated Dixie Hollins (2-0), Went 4-0 at the Fivay Tournament
This Week: vs Palm Harbor University (PCAC Match) (Wed.), vs TBD (PCAC Match) (Wed.), @ Anclote (Thu.)
Osceola has just dropped 3 sets all season long.
Senior Kalli Cors leads the team with 142 kills & 92 digs this season.
Senior Abbie Busch leads the team with 27 serving aces this season.
6. Keswick Christian (16-3)
Last Week: Defeated North Tampa Christian (3-0), Defeated Seffner Christian (3-0), Defeated North Tampa Christian (3-0)
This Week: Defeated Admiral Farragut (3-0) (Mon.), @ Universal Academy (Tues.), vs St. Petersburg Catholic (Thu.)
Karrmayne King picked up her 500th career volleyball coaching win last week ( https://hssportsfl2.wixsite.com/sports/post/icymi-keswick-christian-head-volleyball-coach-karrmayne-king-picks-up-500th-career-win ) and now she is the only FHSAA coach to have 500+ wins in multiple sports.
Sophomore Sydney Jackwin leads the team with 242 kills & 56 serving aces this season.
7. St. Petersburg (20-2)
Last Week: Defeated Pinellas Park (3-0), Defeated Northeast (2-0), Defeated Largo (2-1), Finished 4-1 at the Northside Christian Invitational
This Week: @ East Lake (Wed.), vs Clearwater (Thu.)
The Lady Green Devils have just 2 regular season matches left & will get a full week off to prepare for the District 6A-6 tournament.
Junior Kate Youmans leads the team with 168 kills this season.
Junior Nicole Robison leads the team with 47 serving aces this season.
8. Wiregrass Ranch (14-3)
Last Week: Defeated River Ridge (3-0), Defeated Gaither (3-0)
This Week: vs Sunlake (Thu.)
The Lady Bulls are coming off a 2-0 week & did not drop a single set in either of their two matches.
Junior Zoi Evans leads the team with 98 kills this season.
Senior Hanna Sifford leads the team with 31 serving aces this season.
9. East Lake (15-4)
Last Week: Defeated Gaither (3-0), Defeated Lakewood (2-0), Defeated Clearwater (2-0), Finished 2-3 at the Northside Christian Invitational.
This Week: vs St. Petersburg (Wed.), vs TBD (PCAC Match) (Wed.), vs Dunedin (Thu.)
The Lady Eagles are in a bit of a little rough patch, come into this week on a 3-match losing streak.
Senior Olivia Thompson leads the team with 131 kills this season.
Senior Maya Mullally leads the team with 44 serving aces this season.
10. Steinbrenner (16-4)
Last Week: Defeated Palm Harbor University (3-1), Defeated Robinson (3-0)
This Week: @ Mitchell (Tues.), vs Newsome (Wed.), @ Wharton (Thu.)
The Lady Warriors have 3 matches in 3 days to kickoff the week, all three are tough tasks, according to head coach Sabrina Christofilis.
Sophomore Nina Moorer leads the team with 164 kills this season.
Sophomore Mandy Knipp leads the team with 21 serving aces this season.
