Keswick Christian head volleyball coach Karrmayne King has been the girls volleyball coach since 1988, and is also the head girls basketball coach at the school, where she has had the position since 1984.
King, came into the week just 3 wins away from milestone number 500 for her head volleyball coaching career. King, also picked up her 500th coaching win in girls basketball, but that occurred back in 2015.
On Thursday night, King picked up her 500th coaching win in girls volleyball, with a 3-set win over Seffner Christian (25-17, 25-19, 25-12), to become the only FHSAA coach to have 500+ wins in multiple sports.
King told SportsSpectrum.com on the milestone, "It's not the milestone wins you go after, it's the championships you win along the way, that's what keeps me doing what I love to do." King has led the Crusaders to a 14-3 record so far this season, with just a few weeks left in the regular season.
King, is also the athletic director at Keswick Christian School to go along with coaching volleyball & girls basketball. King, told Rodney Page of the Tampa Bay Times, "This is my final year coaching volleyball, but I will continue to coach girls basketball & serve as the athletic director.
King & her Keswick Christian volleyball squad have 6 regular season matches remaining, before the District 2A-9 tournament kicks off on October 14.
