On Tuesday night, a former University of Miami defensive back commit revealed his top five schools via his social media account. Western (Davie) senior defensive back Justin Hodges' top five schools include Indiana, Miami, Minnesota, UCF & Washington State.
Despite decommitting from the University of Miami a couple weeks ago, Hodges told 247Sports' John Garcia. "I've stayed in contact with the coaching staff over there & I still have strong interest in playing there."
Hodges took an unofficial visit to UCF last weekend, where he told UCFRivals' Brandon Helwig. "I had a great visit, everything about it was just wonderful." The coaching staff was great & the campus made me feel like home." Hodges added.
Hodges, is listed as a 6'1, 160 pound defensive back & is currently ranked as a 3-star prospect, according to 247Sports.com. Hodges is the 135th ranked safety in the nation & the 250th overall ranked prospect in the state of Florida, according to 247Sports.com.
Hodges, is in his second season playing at Western High in Davie, where he has racked up 21 total tackles & has 3 interceptions this season.
Head coach Adam Ratkevich on Hodges. "This kid brings a good work of talent to the practice field everyday & it definitely shows in the game, why he is a 3-star prospect, according to multiple recruiting sites."
Hodges & his 6-1 Western Wildcats have a home football game this Friday night, where they will take on West Broward.
