Miami Rivals Camp Series: 5 Takeaways

By: Ross Van De Griek

MIAMI- The first stop of the 2020 Rivals Camp Series tour came to South Florida, where over 100 prospects checked into the camp. There were ten prospects who stood out to me, among others yesterday.

QB Dylan Rizk (American Heritage-Delray)

The freshman quarterback, is the younger brother of Ryan Rizk who is currently at the University of Miami. Rizk, is listed as a 6'1, 170 pound pro-style quarterback & currently holds interest from Miami. According to Rob Cassidy, Rizk is a smart quarterback, who makes all the right decisions of where to throw the ball.

RB Anthony Hankerson (St. Thomas Aquinas)

The sophomore running back came into the camp with 11 offers from notable schools such as Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland & others. Hankerson impressed me with his catching ability in breezy conditions, as well as his speed. Hankerson was also hard to bring down in the open field.

WR Troy Stellato (Cardinal Gibbons)

The junior wide receiver currently holds about 40 division one offers, but currently has high interest from Clemson & Ohio State. Stellato appears to be a smack talker on the field, but has the ability to back it up, according to Rob Cassidy & Woody Wommack. The 4-star wide receiver has "a lot of swag" to his game, according to Cassidy.

DE Shemar Stewart (Monsignor Pace)

There is a reason why, Stewart is listed as the #1 defensive end in the 2022 class, according to multiple recruiting outlets. The sophomore defensive end has already received over 20 D-1 offers from notable schools such as: Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Miami, Michigan & several others. Stewart reminds me of Houston Texans DE JJ Watt, with his quickness & his ability to get to the quarterback. Stewart recorded 15 sacks in just 10 games last season for Monsignor Pace. Look out for Stewart as he is heading into his junior season next fall.

WR Brandon Inniss (University School)

Another name to keep an eye on in South Florida, is wide receiver Brandon Inniss. Inniss, is a member of the 2023 class that's headlined by Dylan Rizk (American Heritage-Delray), Mark Fletcher (American Heritage-Plantation), Jalen Brown (Gulliver Prep) & David Jester (Homestead). Inniss is a good route runner & has a really high IQ for a player going into his sophomore season. Inniss currently holds a total of 17 D-1 offers from schools such as: Baylor, Florida, Florida Atlantic, Florida State, Georgia Tech & several others.
