On Sunday afternoon, one of the most dynamic safeties in South Florida has found himself a future home. Gulliver Prep safety Eddie Jackson announced his commitment via social media, he was heading to Northern Illinois.
Jackson, chose Northern Illinois over schools such as FIU, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Southern Miss, Syracuse, Temple, Utah State & Western Kentucky.
Jackson, is listed as a 3-star prospect, according to 247Sports & is ranked the 123rd best safety in the nation & the 229th overall ranked prospect in the state of Florida, according to 247Sports.com
Jackson, is listed as a 6'1, 190 pound safety & has 247Sports' composite grade of 0.8315. Jackson on why he chose Northern Illinois. "I felt like it was the best place to gain an opportunity right away. "I also like the style of play that they have", Jackson added.
Jackson did not take any other visits to the schools he was considering during his recruitment process.
