Today's recruiting profile takes us to one of the most prolific offensive linemen in North-Central Florida for the 2021 class, as we feature Trinity Catholic (Ocala) offensive lineman Jake Slaughter. Slaughter is in his third season playing for the Trinity Catholic varsity football team & the second year he's played under head coach Andrew Thomas.
Slaughter, is listed as a 6'5, 315 pound center & is currently unranked, according to 247Sports.com. Slaughter currently holds a total of 7 offers from schools such as Ball State, Florida State, Rutgers, Toledo, Troy, UAB & Western Michigan.
"I would say FSU is my leader among the schools that have recruited me so far", Slaughter said. Slaughter attended the Florida State team camp back in July, where he told me "I had a great time, I really have a good relationship with Coach Taggart & his staff."
Slaughter has not scheduled any visits so far, or set a commitment date as he is waiting till possibly after the season or before his senior season begins.
Slaughter & his Trinity Catholic Celtics are off to a 6-1 start to the season & are off this week. The Celtics will take the field again on Friday, October 18 vs Victory Christian.
