Our second recruiting profile of the day takes us back to South Florida, the home of University School junior dual-threat quarterback Nick Vattiato. Vattiato has received a total of six offers so far throughout the recruiting process.
Vattiato's offers come from Appalachian State, Florida Atlantic, Kentucky, Louisville, UAB & Wake Forest. Expect Vattiato's recruiting process to heat up once his junior season ends, as he gets prepared for his senior season.
Vattiato is listed as a 5'11, 170 pound dual-threat quarterback & a 3-star prospect, according to 247Sports.com. Vattiato is the 15th ranked dual-threat quarterback in the nation for the 2021 class & the 71st overall ranked prospect in the state of Florida, according to 247Sports.com.
So far in five games this season, Vattiato has completed nearly 60% of his passes, thrown for 1102 passing yards, 11 touchdowns & just 3 interceptions. "This kid is a big weapon with both his legs & his arm", according to head coach Daniel Luque. Vattiato also has 16 carries, for 72 rushing yards & a rushing touchdown this season.
Vattiato competed at the University of Kentucky team camp over the summer, where former Cardinal Gibbons quarterback Nik Scalzo is at.
According to Rivals.com's Rob Cassidy, Vattiato's top school interests are Cincinnati & UAB. Vattiato & his University School Sharks (6-1) will take the field on Friday night at Clearwater Central Catholic (5-3), who come in at #10 in Class 3A, according to FloridaHSFootball.com.
