Today's player spotlight profile takes us down to Pinellas County, where Osceola senior outside hitter Kalli Cors is currently leading the Osceola Warriors to an undefeated regular season.
Over the course of her four seasons playing varsity volleyball at Osceola, Cors currently has 803 career kills, 111 serving aces, 57 total blocks & 302 total digs in 206 sets played.
Cors this season, currently has 178 kills, 31 serving aces, 19 total blocks & 106 digs, in just 48 sets played.
Last August, right after her junior season got started she announced she was committed to playing college volleyball at the University of Tampa.
Cors, on why she committed to the University of Tampa. "They have a high level of competition, and the coaches have very high expectations & I'm ready for the challenge."They are a nationally ranked program, I also like the diversity of the campus for an academic standpoint", Cors added.
Cors, on her favorite high school volleyball memory. "When we won the district championship my freshman year & getting to play in the state playoffs."I have made so many memories & would like to continue to make memories, as I hope I can leave high school with a state championship under my belt."
Osceola head volleyball coach Ashley Martin on Cors. "She brings special talent to the gym every single night, the energy & the presence, is the key to our success."
Osceola has already won the PCAC Championship this year & that is just one of the three championships they hope to win this season.
Osceola wraps up the regular season tonight, as they travel to Largo High School (12-9), before district tournament play gets underway next week.
