The University of Louisville hosted two big time recruits from the Sunshine State this past weekend for their game vs Boston College. Pahokee defensive end Latarie Kinsler Jr. (left) & Tampa Catholic defensive back DeAngelo "DJ" Taylor (right.)
Kinsler, is currently ranked as the 15th best weak-side defensive end in the nation, according to 247Sports.com & is also the 60th overall ranked prospect in the state of Florida, according to 247Sports.com.
Kinsler is being heavily recruited by Louisville, LSU, Oregon, Syracuse & Tennessee. Kinsler, was originally committed to the University of Louisville, before de-committing from the school last October.
Kinsler, told me "He enjoyed the visit this weekend to Louisville, the coaches & staff were both great to me."
Kinsler has not announced a new commitment date, but it will likely be close to national signing day when he announces his college decision.
Taylor, visited with the University of Louisville this weekend, knowing he is committed to Arizona State, which he set back in June. Taylor is also hearing from schools such as Miami, Penn State, South Carolina & Virginia Tech, according to Jody Demling (247Sports).
Whichever school Taylor ends up signing with, he is expected to be an early enroll where he will head to his school in January & expect to participate in spring practice.
Taylor, is ranked the 29th best cornerback in the nation, according to 247Sports.com as well as the 46th overall ranked prospect in the state of Florida, according to 247Sports.com.
Taylor, tells 247Sports on his Louisville visit. "I like how the coaching staff is turning things around, after a tough stretch over the last couple of years."
If Louisville can haul in defensive end Latarie Kinsler Jr. & defensive back DJ Taylor, that will give the Cardinals 24 commits for the class of 2020.
