Today's recruiting profile takes us to Lakewood High School, the home of junior wide receiver Artez Hooker, senior dual-threat quarterback Greg Spann, junior linebacker Cortez McKenzie (Miami commit) & senior defensive end Tre'von Riggins (Miami commit).
Hooker, is listed as a 5'9, 160 pound wide receiver & is a 3-star prospect, according to 247Sports.com.
Hooker, is in his first season playing at Lakewood, after spending last season at Jesuit High School in Tampa, where he played in just 7 games last season. So far this season, Hooker has 20 catches, for 259 receiving yards & has 4 receiving touchdowns for the 6-0 Lakewood Spartans.
Hooker has received a total of just 3 offers so far through his recruiting process from schools such as Iowa State, Virginia Tech & Western Michigan. Hooker, is the 58th ranked wide receiver in the nation & the 50th overall ranked prospect in the state of Florida, according to 247Sports.com
Hooker has not scheduled any official visits to either of the three schools, that are showing interest in him. Expect Hooker's recruiting buzz to go up as his senior season rolls around at this time next year.
Hooker & the Lakewood Spartans (6-0) will take the field on Friday night, as they host the Sebring Blue Streaks (4-2).
