We are down to the final two weeks of the high school boys soccer season, across the Tampa Bay area & the state of Florida. Which means we are getting closer to the start of the district tournament & postseason. Seedings will be determined, by the MaxPreps rankings for the first time this season. Find out where your team is ranked below.
1. Wiregrass Ranch (16-1-2)
This Week: vs South Sumter (Tues.), vs Berkeley Prep (Wed.)
The Wiregrass Ranch Bulls come in once again, as the #1 ranked boys soccer team in the Tampa Bay area. The Bulls have won eight straight games, dating back to December 9 when they had a 1-1 draw vs Steinbrenner. Junior striker Justin Amis leads the team with 12 goals scored this season. Wiregrass Ranch is back in action Tuesday night, as they host South Sumter.
2. Jesuit (17-2-2)
This Week: vs Montverde Academy
Jesuit checks into this week, as the #2 ranked team in the Tampa Bay area. The Tigers are coming off a 2-0-1 week, as they defeated Robinson & Immokalee. Senior Carson Bien leads the team with 19 goals scored this season. Jesuit will wrap up their regular season schedule tomorrow night, as they host Montverde Academy.
3. Tampa Catholic (15-1-1)
This Week: @ Palm Harbor University (Tues.), @ Indian Rocks Christian (Thu.)
The Tampa Catholic Crusaders have currently won 11 straight games, dating back to November 22 where they tied Mitchell 0-0. The Crusaders have only allowed a total of 10 goals the entire season. Senior Tony Watson leads the team with 22 goals scored this season. Tampa Catholic is back in action, tomorrow night as they travel to Palm Harbor University.
4. Newsome (11-0-1)
This Week: @ Plant (Tues.), @ Wharton (Wed.), vs King (Thu.)
The Newsome Wolves remain at the #4 ranking in this week's Tampa Bay boys soccer rankings. The Wolves have won 10 straight games dating back to November 13 vs Brandon (Tied 0-0). Senior Owen Lucey leads the team with eight goals scored this season. Newsome is back in action tomorrow night, as they travel to Plant High School.
5. Sunlake (15-1-3)
This Week: vs Land O'Lakes (Tues.), @ Anclote (Fri.)
The Sunlake Seahawks are back in the Top 5, in this week's Tampa Bay boys soccer rankings. Sunlake comes into this week, on a four-game winnning streak dating back to January 8 vs Mitchell (Tied 3-3). Junior Ethan Sternberg leads the team with 33 goals scored this season.
6. Shorecrest Prep (9-3)
This Week: vs Calvary Christian (Tues.), vs Berkeley Prep (Fri.)
The Shorecrest Prep Chargers come into this week ranked #6 in the Tampa Bay area. Shorecrest Prep comes off a 2-0 week, with 1-0 wins over Carrollwood Day & Osceola. Senior Max Consoni leads the team with 13 goals scored this season. Shorecrest Prep is back in action tomorrow night, as they host Calvary Christian.
7. Seminole (15-3-1)
This Week: vs Gibbs (Tues.)
The Seminole Warhawks come into this week, as the #7 ranked boys soccer team in the Tampa Bay area. The Warhawks are coming off a 3-0 week, with wins over Northeast, East Lake & Dunedin. Seminole comes into this week, on a 10-game winning streak as well. Senior Griffin Prestipino & freshman PJ Slaughter are tied for the team lead, with 14 goals scored this season. Seminole wraps up their regular season, tomorrow night as they host Gibbs High School.
8. Osceola (12-4-3)
This Week: @ Keswick Christian (Fri.)
The Osceola Warriors come into this week, as the #8 ranked boys soccer team in the Tampa Bay area. The Warriors are coming off a 1-0 loss last game vs Shorecrest Prep. Sophomore Ian Goins leads the team, with 11 goals scored this season. Osceola will wrap up the regular season on Friday night, as they travel to Keswick Christian.
9. Bloomingdale (10-4-1)
This Week: vs Riverview (Tues.), @ Steinbrenner (Fri.)
The Bloomingdale Bulls come into this week, as the #9 ranked boys soccer team in the Tampa Bay area. The Bulls are coming off a 1-1 week, which includes a 7-0 win over Tampa Bay Tech in their last game. Junior Cade McMillen leads the team with 17 goals scored this season. Bloomingdale will be back in action, tomorrow night as they host Riverview High School.
10. Mitchell (11-4-4)
This Week: vs Tampa Prep (Tues.), @ Nature Coast Tech (Thu.), @ Pasco (Fri.)
The Mitchell Mustangs wrap up the Tampa Bay Top 10 Boys Soccer rankings, as they check in at #10. Mitchell has won two straight games, dating back to January 8 at Sunlake (Tied 3-3). Mitchell won their last game 3-0 at Leto, where they got three goals from three different players. Junior Aidan Meyer leads the team with 10 goals scored this season. Mitchell is back in action tomorrow night, as they host Tampa Prep.
