Tampa Top 10 High School Boys Soccer Rankings (Week of Jan 13-17)

We are approaching the final few weeks of the high school boys soccer regular season in the Tampa Bay area, as well as the state of Florida. A lot of this week's top 10 is expected to remain the same. Find out where your team is ranked below.


1. Wiregrass Ranch (14-1-2)

Last Week: Defeated Leto 2-0 & Defeated Land O'Lakes 5-3

This Week: vs Fivay (Mon.), @ Celebration (Wed.), @ Anclote (Thu.)


The Wiregrass Ranch Bulls have spent the last few weeks, ranked #1 in the Tampa Bay area coming into this week. The Bulls come into this week on a seven-match unbeaten streak, dating back to suffering their only loss of the season (12/7/2019). The Bulls are back in action, tonight as they host Fivay High School.


2. Jesuit (15-2-1)

Last Week: Defeated Middleton 8-0 & Defeated Cape Coral 2-1

This Week: @ Lakewood Ranch (Mon.), @ Robinson (Tues.), vs Immokalee (Sat.)


The Jesuit Tigers come into this week, as the #2 ranked boys soccer team in the Tampa Bay area. The Tigers come into this week, on a two-game winning streak. Senior Carson Bien leads the team with 16 goals scored this season. Jesuit is back in action, tonight as they travel to Lakewood Ranch.


3. Tampa Catholic (12-1-1)

Last Week: Defeated Berkeley Prep 2-1, Defeated St. Petersburg Catholic 4-0 & Defeated Fivay 4-0

This Week: vs Clearwater Central Catholic (Mon.), vs St. Petersburg (Thu.), @ Bishop Verot (Fri.)


The Tampa Catholic Crusaders remain, as the #3 ranked boys soccer team in the Tampa Bay area this week. The Crusaders are coming off a 3-0 week, with wins over Berkeley Prep, St. Petersburg Catholic & Fivay. Senior Tony Watson leads the team with 18 goals scored this season. Tampa Catholic is back in action tonight, as they host Clearwater Central Catholic.


4. Newsome (8-0-1)

Last Week: Defeated Plant City 1-0

This Week: @ Bloomingdale (Mon.), vs Sickles (Thu.)


The Newsome Wolves jump up to the #4 ranking, in this week's boys soccer rankings. The Wolves have currently gone four straight games, without conceding a goal dating back to 11/19/2019 against Riverview. Senior Owen Lucey leads the team with seven goals scored this season. Newsome is back in action, tonight as they travel to Bloomingdale.


5. Sunlake (11-1-3)

Last Week: Tied Mitchell 3-3

This Week: vs Pasco (Mon.), @ Citrus (Tues.), vs Crystal River (Wed.), @ Trinity Catholic (Fri.)


The Sunlake Seahawks fall to #5 in this week's Tampa Bay boys soccer rankings, after spending the last couple weeks at #3. Sunlake was leading 3-1 in their previous game vs Mitchell with 20 minutes left to play, before the Mustangs scored two quick goals & tied 3-3. Sunlake is back in action tonight, as they host Pasco High School.


6. Shorecrest Prep (7-3-0)

Last Week: Defeated St. Petersburg Catholic 5-0, Lost to Seminole 1-0 This Week: @ Carrollwood Day (Tues.), vs Osceola (Fri.)


The Shorecrest Prep Chargers remain at #6 in this week's Tampa Bay boys soccer rankings, despite losing 1-0 in their last game to Seminole. Senior Max Consoni had two goals & two assists, in their 5-0 win last week over St. Petersburg Catholic. The Chargers will be back in action tomorrow night, as they travel to Carrollwood Day.


7. Northeast (7-1-2)

Last Week: Defeated Bradenton Southeast 4-1 & Tied Osceola 3-3

This Week: vs Seminole (Mon.), @ Gibbs (Wed.), vs Countryside (Thu.)


The Northeast Vikings climb back into the Top 10 rankings, after spending the last couple weeks on the bubble. Senior Dayne Baldwin leads the team with 15 goals scored this season. Northeast is back in action tonight, as they host Seminole High School.


8. Seminole (12-3-1)

Last Week: Defeated Osceola 2-0 & Defeated Shorecrest Prep 1-0

This Week: @ Northeast (Mon.), vs East Lake (Wed.), @ Dunedin (Fri.)


The Seminole Warhawks check in this week, as the #8 ranked team in the Tampa Bay area, despite picking up two wins against Top 10 teams. The Warhawks have gone six straight matches without conceding a goal, dating back to 12/6/2019 @ Countryside. Senior Griffin Prestipino leads the team with 13 goals scored this season. Seminole is back in action, tonight as they travel to Northeast High School.


9. Bloomingdale (9-3-1)

Last Week: Defeated Armwood 1-0

This Week: vs Newsome (Mon.), vs Tampa Bay Tech (Wed.)


The Bloomingdale Bulls check in this week, as the #9 ranked team in the Tampa Bay area. Sophomore midfielder Juan Vanegas Zapata had the team's lone goal, in their last game, which was 1-0 win over Armwood. The Bulls come into this week, on a two-game winning streak. The Bulls are back in action tonight, as they host Newsome High School.


10, East Lake (9-3)

Last Week: Defeated Largo 6-0, Defeated Clearwater 2-0

This Week: vs Countryside (Mon.), @ Seminole (Wed.)


The East Lake Eagles hang onto the #10 ranking, in this week's Tampa Bay boys soccer rankings, despite picking up wins over Largo & Clearwater. Senior William Shuchart leads the team with seven goals scored this season. East Lake is back in action tonight, as they host Countryside High School.


On The Bubble: Brandon, Carrollwood Day, Gaither, Keswick Christian, King, Land O'Lakes, Mitchell, Nature Coast Tech, Palm Harbor University, Plant, River Ridge, Steinbrenner, Weeki Wachee
