For the third consecutive week to start the high school boys soccer season here across the state of Florida, the Wiregrass Ranch Bulls remain the #1 ranked team across the Tampa Bay area. With Thanksgiving week looming, some teams will be playing this week & others will not, so find out where your team is ranked below.
1. Wiregrass Ranch (4-0-0)
Last Week: Defeated Cypress Creek 5-1 & Defeated Tampa Catholic 3-2
This Week: vs Largo (Mon.) @ Lakewood HS, vs Seminole (Tues.) @ Lakewood HS
The Wiregrass Ranch Bulls will be playing in the Lakewood Thanksgiving Classic this week, fresh coming off wins over Cypress Creek & Tampa Catholic. Wiregrass Ranch has gotten 4 goals this season from senior Jake Bierhorst, senior Jori Ndrita & junior Justin Amis.
2. Jesuit (3-1-1)
Last Week: Defeated Hillsborough 4-2, Tied Mitchell 1-1 & Lost to Nease 2-1
This Week: No games scheduled
The Jesuit Tigers despite losing to Nease this week, remain the #2 team in the Tampa Bay area, since Nease comes in as one of the top ranked teams in all of Class 7A. Senior Carson Bien & sophomore Baylen Young each have scored three goals so far this season. Jesuit will resume play on Tuesday, December 3 @ Blake High School.
3. Osceola (5-0-0)
Last Week: Defeated Plant 3-1 & Defeated Largo 2-0
This Week: No games scheduled
The Osceola Warriors remain the #3 team in the Tampa Bay area, as they are off to a roaring start to the season. The Warriors like many other teams in the area, are off this week due to Thanksgiving, but they will resume play on Monday, December 2 @ Clearwater Central Catholic.
4. Shorecrest Prep (3-1-0)
Last Week: Lost to St. Petersburg 1-0 & Defeated Sickles 3-0
This Week: No games scheduled
The Shorecrest Prep Chargers suffered their first loss of the season last week to St. Petersburg, but their ranking remains unchanged. Senior Max Consoni leads the team with six goals scored this season. The Chargers will return to the field on Tuesday, December 3 @ Tampa Prep, following Thanksgiving break.
5. Plant City (3-0-0)
Last Week: Defeated Tampa Bay Tech 4-0 & Defeated Riverview 2-0
This Week: No games scheduled
The Plant City Raiders are coming off two straight clean sheets, outscoring both Tampa Bay Tech & Riverview 6-0. The Raiders will be off this week for Thanksgiving & then resume play on Tuesday, December 3 vs Strawberry Crest. Senior David Espinoza leads the team with three goals scored this season.
6. Tampa Catholic (4-1-1)
Last Week: Defeated Calvary Christian 4-1, Lost to Wiregrass Ranch 3-2 & Tied Mitchell 0-0
This Week: No games scheduled
The Tampa Catholic Crusaders fall just two spots in this week's rankings, after suffering their first loss of the season to #1 Wiregrass Ranch. The Crusaders will be off this week for Thanksgiving & resume play on Monday, December 2 vs Carrollwood Day. Senior Tony Watson leads the team with six goals scored this season.
7. Mitchell (2-1-2)
Last Week: Defeated Fivay 2-0, Tied Jesuit 1-1 & Tied Tampa Catholic 0-0
This Week: @ Berkeley Prep (Tues.)
The Mitchell Mustangs are one of the only three teams in our top 10 who will be in action this week. The Mustangs have tied in back-to-back games, looking to get back on the winning side tomorrow night at Berkeley Prep. Sophomore Tristan Harrigan has scored two goals this season to lead the team.
8. Seminole (3-1-1)
Last Week: Defeated Clearwater Central Catholic 5-0, Lost to Berkeley Prep 1-0 & Defeated Tarpon Springs 4-2
This Week: vs Lakewood (Mon.) (Lakewood HS Showcase), vs Wiregrass Ranch (Tues.) (Lakewood HS Showcase)
The Seminole Warhawks are coming off a 2-1-0 week last week, suffering their only loss of the season to Berkeley Prep. However, the Warhawks will be back in action tonight as they are facing Lakewood in the Lakewood Thanksgiving Showcase. Freshman PJ Slaughter leads the team with six goals scored this season.
9. Steinbrenner (2-2-1)
Last Week: Tied Plant 2-2 & Lost to River Ridge 2-0
This Week: @ Berkeley Prep (Mon.)
The Steinbrenner Warriors enter the Tampa Top 10 Boys Soccer rankings for the first time this season. They will have just one game this week, before they hit Thanksgiving Break. Senior Arman Alideai leads the team with seven goals scored this season.
10. Bloomingdale (4-2-0)
Last Week: Defeated East Lake 3-1, Defeated Strawberry Crest 2-0 & Defeated Plant 3-1
This Week: No games scheduled
Despite the 1-2-0 start, the Bloomingdale Bulls come into this week on a three-match winning streak, outscoring opponents 8-2. The Bulls will be back in action on Tuesday, December 3 as they travel to Freedom High School. Junior Cade McMillen leads the team with six goals scored this season.
