Welcome back from the Thanksgiving Break, as most of our Tampa Bay area girls soccer teams had the full week off. Not a lot of movement to be made in this week's rankings. Find out where your team is ranked below.
1. St. Petersburg (7-0-0)
This Week: Defeated Countryside 3-2 (Mon.), vs East Lake (Wed.), @ Dixie Hollins (Fri.)
The St. Petersburg Lady Green Devils are off to a roaring start to the 2019-2020 season, with a 7-0 start. The Green Devils are averaging nearly six goals per game & have only conceded a total of four goals all year.
2. Plant (8-0-0)
This Week: vs Alonso (Wed.), @ Robinson (Fri.)
The Plant Panthers come into this week as the #4 ranked team in the nation, according to MaxPreps & are also ranked 4th in the overall state rankings behind Bartram Trail, Coral Reef & American Heritage (Plantation). Junior striker Quinn Ryan leads the team with 9 goals scored so far this season.
3. Palm Harbor University (6-1-0)
This Week: Defeated Largo 4-1 (Mon.), @ Steinbrenner (Tues.)
The Palm Harbor University Lady Hurricanes are coming into this week, fresh off a 4-1 win last night over Largo High School. Tonight, they will be traveling to Steinbrenner in a key District 7A-7 matchup. Junior midfielder Camryn Boyette is leading the team with seven goals so far this season.
4. Land O'Lakes (5-0-0)
This Week: Defeated Springstead 5-0 (Mon.), vs Academy of the Holy Names (Wed.)
This week, the Lady Gators rise up from #6 to #4 in this week's Tampa Bay area girls soccer rankings, as they are off to a 5-match unbeaten streak to start the season. Freshman Jordan Green leads the team with 10 goals scored this season.
5. Wesley Chapel (6-0-0)
This Week: Defeated Hernando 7-1 (Mon.), vs Cypress Creek (Wed.)
The Wesley Chapel Lady Wildcats girls soccer team is just a couple weeks away from a possible Pasco County showdown, with Land O'Lakes on December 18. The Lady Wildcats are averaging 7.3 goals per game so far this season & have only conceded three goals all season. Freshman Amaris Hamilton-Grein is leading the team with 14 goals scored this season.
6. Nature Coast Tech (8-0-0)
This Week: Defeated Zephyrhills 8-0 (Mon.), vs Brooksville Central (Wed.), vs Weeki Wachee (Fri.)
The Nature Coast Tech Sharks have only conceded one goal all season & that occurred back on November 12 vs Lecanto. Since then, the Lady Sharks have not allowed a goal in six games. Sophomore forward Kennedy Weissman leads the team with 28 goals scored this season.
7. Wiregrass Ranch (4-0-1)
This Week: Defeated Pasco 8-0 (Mon.), vs Gaither (Thu.)
The Wiregrass Ranch Lady Bulls fall from #3 to #7 in this week's Tampa Bay area rankings, following their 0-0 draw at Tampa Catholic before the Thanksgiving Break. Senior Avery Damjanovic had a hat trick, in last night's 8-0 win over Pasco High School. Avery Damjanovic also leads the team with 12 goals scored on the season.
8. Berkeley Prep (6-1-0)
Last Week: Lost to Academy of the Holy Names 5-1
This Week: vs Carrollwood Day (Tues.), vs McKeel Academy (Thu.)
The Lady Buccaneers drop from #2 to #8 in this week's Tampa Bay area girls soccer rankings, following last week's 5-1 loss to Academy of the Holy Names. The Lady Buccaneers face a tough schedule this week, facing unbeaten Carrollwood Day & McKeel Academy. Sophomore midfielder Emma Watson leads the team with seven goals scored so far this season.
9. Academy of the Holy Names (4-1-1)
Last Week: Defeated Berkeley Prep 5-1
This Week: @ Land O'Lakes (Wed.), vs River Ridge (Fri.)
Welcome to the rankings for the first time this season, the Academy of the Holy Names Lady Jaguars after sitting on the bubble for the first three weeks. Academy of the Holy Names will travel to Land O'Lakes tomorrow night in a headline of two Top 10 teams in the Tampa Bay area. Senior Madison Kurtz leads the team with five goals scored in five games this season.
10. Carrollwood Day (3-0-0)
This Week: @ Berkeley Prep (Tues.)
The Carrollwood Day Lady Patriots are in the Tampa Bay area girls soccer rankings for the first time this season. Head coach Donna Holyman got her 100th career coaching win earlier this season. Senior Haley Woodaz leads the team with 15 goals scored so far this season.
