There are no more unbeaten teams in the Tampa Bay area, as both East Lake & Wharton suffered their first losses of the season last week. East Lake lost to Doral Academy on Saturday at the Wally Keller Classic, while Wharton suffered their first loss of the season at Riverview last Monday. Find out where your team is ranked below.
1. Berkeley Prep (14-2)
This Week: @ Carrollwood Day (Tues.), @ Tampa Catholic (Fri.)
The Berkeley Prep Buccaneers are the #1 team in the Tampa Bay area, following East Lake's loss on Saturday vs Doral Academy. The Buccaneers are coming off a 3-0 week, including a 59-58 win in their last game vs Anclote. Berkeley Prep will be back in action tomorrow night, as they travel to Carrollwood Day.
2. East Lake (17-1)
This Week: @ Countryside (Thu.), @ Mitchell (Fri.)
The East Lake Eagles only drop one spot in this week's boys basketball rankings, following their loss vs Doral Academy on Saturday. Senior Dionte Blanch led the way with 18 points (7-18 FG) in their last game vs Doral Academy. East Lake will be back in action, on Thursday night as they travel to Countryside High School.
3. Lakewood (14-3)
This Week: vs Booker (Tues.), @ Palmetto (Wed.), @ Gibbs (Fri.)
The Lakewood Spartans come into this week's rankings holding the #3 spot in the Tampa Bay area. Lakewood is coming off a 2-1 week, where they suffered a 64-45 loss vs South Miami on Saturday at the Wally Keller Classic. Lakewood will be back in action, tomorrow night as they host Booker High School.
4. Riverview (14-1)
This Week: @ Newsome (Wed.), vs Sarasota Riverview (Fri.)
The Riverview Sharks might be the most surprising team in the Tampa Bay area, as they are inside the Top 5 in the Tampa Bay area rankings, for the first time this season. The Sharks have won eight straight games entering play this week. Riverview is coming off a 59-55 win vs Lennard in their last game. Riverview is back in action on Wednesday night, as they travel to Newsome High School.
5. Tampa Catholic (14-5)
This Week: vs Seffner Christian (Tues.), vs Berkeley Prep (Fri.)
The Tampa Catholic Crusaders are back inside the Top 5 coming into this week. The Crusaders are coming off a 3-0 week, with wins over St. Kevin's (Australia), Leesburg & Naples. Senior Johni Broome had a game high 36 points, in their 102-93 win over Naples on Saturday. The Crusaders are back in action tomorrow night, as they host Seffner Christian.
6. Wharton (14-2)
This Week: vs Newsome (Tues.), @ Armwood (Wed.), vs Sickles (Fri.)
The Wharton Wildcats have dropped down to #6 in this week's Tampa Bay boys basketball rankings, following two losses to Riverview & Seminole. However, the Wildcats did pick up wins against Plant & Steinbrenner earlier last week. Wharton will be back in action tomorrow night, as they host Newsome High School.
7. Blake (16-3)
This Week: @ Chamberlain (Tues.), vs Jefferson (Wed.), vs Bloomingdale (Fri.)
The Blake Yellow Jackets drop one spot in this week's rankings, as they are coming off a 2-1 week. Sophomore guard Emmanuel Sharp dropped 41 points, in their 85-56 win vs Middleton in their last game. Blake is back in action tomorrow night, as they travel to Chamberlain High School.
8. Clearwater (14-3)
This Week: @ Palm Harbor University (Tues.), vs Southeast (Wed.), vs Seminole (Fri.)
The Clearwater Tornadoes check in this week at #8 in the Tampa Bay Boys Basketball rankings. Clearwater is coming off a 3-0 week, with wins over Bayshore, Countryside & Sebring. Sophomore guard CJ Lee had a game-high 23 points, in their 62-61 win over Sebring in their last game. The Tornadoes are back in action tomorrow night, as they travel to Palm Harbor University.
9. Tampa Prep (15-2)
This Week: @ Shorecrest Prep (Tues.), vs Mitchell (Thu.)
The Tampa Prep Terrapins drop to #9, in this week's Tampa Bay Boys Basketball rankings, following their 70-53 loss vs Land O'Lakes on Saturday. Senior guards Gabriel Sharp & Jaden Gray led the way for the Terrapins' in their last game. Tampa Prep will be back in action tomorrow night, as they travel to Shorecrest Prep.
10. Land O'Lakes (12-5)
This Week: vs Cypress Creek (Tues.), @ Pasco (Thu.)
The Land O'Lakes Gators are back inside the Top 10 in this week's Tampa Bay Boys Basketball rankings. The Gators are coming off a 3-0 week with wins over River Ridge, Fivay & Tampa Prep. Senior guard Mekhi Perry became the school's all-time leading scorer in their win over Tampa Prep on Saturday. The Gators are back in action tomorrow night, as they host Cypress Creek.
