Tampa Bay High School Top 10 Girls Soccer Rankings (Week 5)

We are entering the last couple of weeks until the holiday break, as some teams will be wrapping up the 2019 calendar year this week. Not a lot of shuffle is expected in this week's rankings. Find out where your team is ranked below.


1. Plant (10-0-0)

Last Week: Defeated Alonso 5-0 & Defeated Robinson 1-0

This Week: vs Sickles (Wed.)


The Plant Lady Panthers come into this week, as the #6 ranked team in the nation & the #4 ranked team in the state of Florida, according to MaxPreps. The Lady Panthers have gone four straight games without conceding a goal. Junior Quinn Ryan leads the team with 11 goals scored this season.


2. Lakeland Christian (7-0-0)

Last Week: Defeated George Jenkins 6-1 & Defeated Lakeland 5-0

This Week: @ Lake Wales (Tues.), vs Ridge Community (Thu.), vs Chiles (Fri.), @ St. John's Country Day (Sat.)


The Lakeland Christian Lady Vikings come into this week, as the #2 team in the Tampa Bay area. The Vikings are coming off a 2-0 week last week, outscoring George Jenkins & Lakeland a combined 11-1. Freshman forward Kaelyn Diaz leads the team with 8 goals scored this season.


3. Newsome (4-0-1)

Last Week: Defeated Durant 2-1, Defeated Freedom 8-0 & Defeated Gaither 4-1

This Week: vs Lennard (Tues.), @ Wharton (Fri.)


The Newsome Wolves come into this week, as the #3 ranked team in this week's girls soccer rankings. The Lady Wolves are coming off a 3-0 week last week, with wins over Durant, Freedom & Gaither. The Wolves will be back in action tonight, as they host Lennard.


4. Nature Coast Tech (11-0-0)

Last Week: Defeated Zephyrhills 8-0, Defeated Central (Brooksville) 8-0 & Defeated Weeki Wachee 8-0

This Week: Defeated Citrus 6-1 (Mon.), @ Springstead (Wed.), vs Hernando (Fri.)


The Nature Coast Tech Sharks just continue their early season success, currently outscoring their opponents 75-2 in their first 11 games of the season. Sophomore Kennedy Weissman leads the team & state, with 41 goals scored this season.


5. Palm Harbor University (8-1-0)

Last Week: Defeated Largo 4-1 & Defeated Steinbrenner 3-1

This Week: Defeated Clearwater Central Catholic 3-0 (Mon.), vs Alonso (Tues.), vs Venice (Fri.)


The Palm Harbor University Lady Hurricanes come into this week, as the #5 team in this week's Tampa Bay girls soccer rankings. The Lady Hurricanes come into this week on a four-game winning streak. Junior Camryn Boyette leads the team with nine goals scored this season.


6. Berkeley Prep (9-1-0)

Last Week: Defeated Carrollwood Day 7-2, Defeated McKeel Academy 2-1 & Defeated Northside Christian 8-0

This Week: vs Bolles (Sat.)


The Berkeley Prep Buccaneers have just one game on the schedule this week, as they'll host nationally ranked Bolles on Saturday. Sophomore Emma Watson leads the team with 11 goals scored this season.


7. Wesley Chapel (8-0-0)

Last Week: Defeated Hernando 7-1 & Defeated Cypress Creek 5-0

This Week: Defeated Sunlake 3-1 (Mon.), @ Wiregrass Ranch (Wed.), vs Fivay (Fri.)


The Wesley Chapel Lady Wildcats have continued their early season success, as they have won each of their first eight matches & are currently averaging 6.5 goals scored per game this season. Freshman Amaris Hamilton-Grein leads the team with 18 goals scored this season.


8. Academy of the Holy Names (6-2-0)

Last Week: Defeated Land O'Lakes 6-0 & Defeated River Ridge 5-2

This Week: @ Tampa Prep (Wed.), vs Clearwater Central Catholic (Fri.)


The Academy of the Holy Names Lady Jaguars enter the rankings this week at #8. The Lady Jaguars have currently won five straight games. Senior Madison Kurtz leads the team with seven goals scored this season.


9. East Lake (8-2-0)

Last Week: Defeated Dunedin 1-0, Defeated St. Petersburg 2-1 & Defeated Osceola 5-1

This Week: Defeated Tarpon Springs 4-1 (Mon.), vs Fivay (Wed.), vs Leto (Fri.)


The East Lake Eagles come into this week, as the #9 ranked team in this week's Tampa Bay girls soccer rankings. The Lady Eagles currently are on a four-game unbeaten streak. Junior Madison Paster leads the team with eight goals scored so far this season. East Lake begins a three-match homestand tomorrow night vs Fivay.


10. Wiregrass Ranch (5-1-1)

Last Week: Defeated Pasco 8-0 & Defeated Gaither 8-0

This Week: Lost to Steinbrenner, 3-2 (Mon.), vs Wesley Chapel (Wed.), @ River Ridge (Fri.)


The Wiregrass Ranch Lady Bulls come into this week, ranked #10 in this week's Tampa Bay girls soccer rankings. However, the Lady Bulls snap their six-match unbeaten streak with a 3-2 home loss vs Steinbrenner last night. Senior Avery Damjanovic leads the team with 15 goals scored this season.
