Tampa Bay High School Top 10 Girls Basketball Rankings (Week 4)

Good morning, high school girls basketball fans across the Tampa Bay area. We have entered Week 4 of the high school girls basketball season in the Tampa Bay area, as well as the state of Florida. We have a couple of movements made in this week's rankings. Find out where your team is ranked below.


1. Tampa Bay Tech (5-0)

Last Week: Defeated Brandon 100-1 & Defeated Hillsborough 60-17

This Week: vs Leto (Tues.), @ East Bay (Wed.), vs Southwest Raleigh (NC) (She Got Game Classic) (Fri.), vs New Hope Academy (MD) (She Got Game Classic) (Sat.)


The Tampa Bay Tech Lady Titans come into this week, ranked #3 in the nation & #2 in all Florida classifications, according to MaxPreps. Junior guard Jasmine Peaks leads the team averaging 14.8 points per game. The Lady Titans will be playing some of the region's best teams this weekend at the "She Got Game Classic" in Washington, DC.


2. Plant (5-0)

Last Week: Defeated Palm Harbor University 69-7 & Defeated Alonso 61-21

This Week: vs Wharton (Tues.), @ Freedom (Wed.), @ Sickles (Fri.), @ St. Cloud (Sat.)


The Plant Lady Panthers come into this week, as the #2 ranked team in the Tampa Bay area. Plant will face St. Cloud this Saturday, in a rematch of last year's Class 8A Regional Final which St. Cloud won 51-49. Junior guard Nyla Jean leads the team averaging 15 points per game this season.


3. Carrollwood Day (5-0)

Last Week: Defeated Sarasota Booker 68-19

This Week: Defeated Lake Gibson 68-28 (Mon.), vs Bishop McLaughlin (Thu.), vs West Orange (Sat.)


The Carrollwood Day Patriots remain the #3 team in the Tampa Bay area, in this week's girls basketball rankings. The Lady Patriots are averaging 72.4 points per game in their first five games of the season. Carrollwood Day also comes into this week, ranked #8 in the state of Florida, according to MaxPreps.


4. Wesley Chapel (6-0)

Last Week: Defeated Wiregrass Ranch 54-45, Defeated Tampa Prep 63-60

This Week: Defeated Cypress Creek 73-21 (Mon.), vs Booker (Wed.), vs Wharton (Sat.)


The Wesley Chapel Wildcats rise from #6 to #4 in this week's Tampa Bay girls basketball rankings. Sophomore Emari Lewis leads the team averaging 16.2 points per game this season. Wesley Chapel comes into this weeek, as the #4 ranked team in Class 4A, according to MaxPreps.


5. Seffner Christian (5-2)

Last Week: Defeated Booker 62-54 & Lost to Dunbar 70-63

This Week: @ Santa Fe Catholic (Tues.), @ Father Lopez (Fri.), vs Seminole (Sanford (Sat.) (Spruce Creek Shootout)


Despite having two early season losses, the Seffner Christian Crusaders have played one of the most difficult schedules in the Tampa Bay area. Seffner Christian will have a tough game tonight, as they travel to Santa Fe Catholic. Seffner Christian comes into this week, ranked #9 in Class 3A, according to MaxPreps.


6. Brooks-DeBartolo (5-1)

Last Week: Lost to Braden River 72-54 & Defeated Gulf Coast 62-26

This Week: vs Ribault (Fri.) (Game at Embry-Riddle University), vs Bartram Trail (Sat.) (Game at Embry-Riddle University)


The Brooks-DeBartolo Lady Phoenix responded with a "statement" win over Gulf Coast High School over the weekend. The Lady Phoenix gear up for Daytona Beach this weekend, as they will be taking on two highly state ranked teams, starting with Ribault on Friday night.


7. Keswick Christian (5-0)

Last Week: Defeated Bayshore Christian 64-26

This Week: @ Out-of-Door Academy (Tues.), @ Northeast (Thu.)


The Keswick Christian Lady Crusaders have not played in a little more than a week, but begin the first of a two-game away swing starting tonight at Out-of-Door Academy. Freshman forward Jakara Akins leads the team averaging 17.4 points per game this season.


8. Northeast (7-1)

Last Week: Defeated St. Petersburg 54-42, Defeated Bayshore 61-29, Lost to Saint Stephen's Episcopal 56-46

This Week: Defeated Northside Christian 49-34 (Mon.), @ Lakewood (Tues.), vs Keswick Christian (Thu.), @ St. Petersburg Catholic (Fri.)


Saturday's loss to Saint Stephen's Episcopal, snapped a six-game winning streak to start the season for the Northeast Lady Vikings. The Lady Vikings are back in action tonight, as they will travel to Lakewood High School.


9. Armwood (5-1)

Last Week: Defeated Robinson 65-22 & Defeated East Bay 76-21

This Week: Defeated Freedom 93-14 (Mon.), @ Strawberry Crest (Tues.), @ Plant City (Fri.)


The Armwood Lady Hawks are back in this week's rankings, sitting at #9 in the Tampa Bay area. The Hawks are currently on a four-game winning streak, since suffering their only loss of the season to #6 Brooks-DeBartolo. Armwood is back in action tonight, as they travel to Strawberry Crest.


10. Tampa Prep (5-2)

Last Week: Defeated Berkeley Prep 53-46, Defeated Steinbrenner 57-43 & Lost to #4 Wesley Chapel 63-60

This Week: Lost to Clearwater 59-50 (Mon.), @ Tampa Catholic (Thu.)


The Tampa Prep Lady Terrapins have lost two straight games, reasoning they are now #10 in this week's girls basketball rankings. Sophomore guard Kailyn Gilbert had 41 points & 20 rebounds, in last Friday night's game vs Wesley Chapel. Tampa Prep is back in action on Thursday night, as they travel to Tampa Catholic.
