The Miami Hurricanes have landed their 25th overall commit from the class of 2020, as Miramar safety Brian Balom is the latest Miami commit. Balom chose Miami over Louisville & West Virginia. Balom is the 17th commit from the Sunshine State to join the University of Miami, as he joins Belen Jesuit running back Don Chaney Jr., Oakleaf defensive end Chantz Williams, Oakleaf offensive lineman Jalen Rivers, IMG Academy wide receiver Michael Redding III, Miami Northwestern wide receiver Marcus Fleming & several others.

Balom, a 6'0, 180 pound prospect took an official visit to the University of Louisville back on September 7, where he told 247Sports "I felt that the atmosphere was comforting, it made me feel like home."

Balom, is ranked as the 69th ranked safety in the nation & the 143rd ranked player in the state of Florida, according to 247Sports. The Hurricanes currently have the 13th ranked recruiting class in the nation for the 2020 class, according to 247Sports.com

However, Balom didn't make an official visit to the University of Miami prior to his commitment, but he did attend the Paradise Camp back in June, where he impressed Manny Diaz & the rest of the coaching staff from there. Balom was committed by safeties coach Ephraim Banda & defensive backs coach Mike Rumph.
