On Friday morning, Iowa State might have found their cornerback for the 2020 class, as Cardinal Gibbons (Fort Lauderdale) defensive back Michal Antoine announced via Twitter, he is heading to Iowa State. Antoine chose Iowa State over Boston College, FIU, Missouri & USF.

Antoine had a total of 14 offers throughout his recruiting process, with offers from Boston College, Cincinnati, Elon, Georgia Tech, Kent State & several others. Antoine is a 3-star prospect, along with being ranked the 132nd best cornerback in the nation, and the 193rd ranked prospect in the state of Florida, according to 247Sports.

So far in 2019, Antoine has 12 total tackles & has also recorded 2 interceptions this season, for a secondary that consists of free safety Majon Wright, defensive back Ty Jones & defensive back Roman Parodie. Last season, Antoine had 43 total tackles & only had 1 interception, helping lead the Chiefs to their first state championship in school history.

Antoine, told 247Sports. "The coaches loved my physicality, they love how I can cover the deep pass, along with his leadership." Antoine is the 21st commit for Iowa State in the 2020 class & the 5th commit from the Sunshine State. The other four Sunshine State commits are Steinbrenner wide receiver Aidan Bitter, Lakewood (St. Petersburg) wide receiver TJ Tampa, Naples linebacker Ar'Quel Smith & former Bartram Trail wide receiver Xavier Hutchinson, who spent 2 seasons at Blinn College (TX).

Iowa State currently has the 33rd ranked recruiting class in the nation, and are ranked 3rd in the Big 12 for the class of 2020.
