On Saturday afternoon, Spruce Creek (Port Orange, Fla.) running back Marvin Scott has announced via Twitter, he is committed to the University of Nebraska. Scott chose the Cornhuskers over Georgia Tech, Florida State, Michigan, South Carolina & Tennessee.

Scott had a total of 24 division one offers coming from Alabama, Appalachian State, Boston College, Bowling Green, Colorado State & several others. Scott III took a visit up to Lincoln back in June and said, "I love the atmosphere & I love the coaching staff." "He also felt like he was a perfect fit to be in the Big Ten", Scott added.
Scott is ranked the 42nd best running back in the nation, for the Class of 2020, according to 247Sports. Scott rushed for 1,220 rushing yards & had 17 touchdowns last season in just 8 games for Spruce Creek.
Back in February, at the Orlando Opening Regionals, Scott III ran a 4.38 in the 40 yard shuttle, and had a 36.9 inch vertical. "This kid is one of the most athletic & freakish athletes I've ever coached", said Spruce Creek head football coach Andy Price. According to 247Sports' John Garcia Jr. Scott is "one of the most fun kids to watch in the 2020 class in the state of Florida".
Scott joins Evans (Orlando) cornerback Tamon Lynum as Nebraska 2020 commits to come from the Sunshine State.
