Today's recruiting profile takes us out to eastern Hillsborough County, where we feature Strawberry Crest 2020 offensive lineman Jose Gonzalez.
Gonzalez, didn't start playing football until his junior season, as he came over from the Dominican Republic where he was raised by his uncle, a former baseball player. Before Gonzalez even stepped foot onto a football field, he had already received interest from South Florida & Central Florida to play football for their respective programs.
Gonzalez, is listed as a 6'9, 330 pound offensive tackle & has received 20 offers through his recruiting process from notable schools such as Minnesota, UCLA, Appalachian State, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Colorado State, East Carolina & several others.
Gonzalez, is also rated as a 3-star prospect, according to 247Sports, but has not scheduled any visits with any schools as of yet.
Gonzalez, said he has "high interest" from Minnesota & UCLA, and plans on making official visits to both those schools once the season concludes.
