FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.- Today's recruiting profile takes us to one of the highly recruited players from South Florida in the class of 2021.
Cardinal Gibbons (Fort Lauderdale) 2021 wide receiver Troy Stellato is having a stellar start to his junior season, for the reigning class 5A champion Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs. Stellato has received high interest from Boston College, Kentucky, Ohio State, Tennessee & Vanderbilt.
Stellato, received an offer from Ohio State yesterday & said "he was shocked & in awe", that the Buckeyes landed him with a scholarship offer to play football. So far in 4 games in 2019, Stellato has 16 receptions, for 239 receiving yards & has a receiving touchdown.
Coming off a 2018 season, where Stellato had 44 receptions, for 706 receiving yards & had 5 touchdowns, leading his Chiefs to a 13-2 season & winning their first state football championship in school history.
Stellato, is listed as a 6'0, 172 pound wide receiver & is the 78th ranked wide receiver in the nation, along with the 65th ranked prospect in the state of Florida, according to 247Sports.
This morning, Stellato received an offer from the University of Florida, which is his 11th scholarship offer & the third to come from the SEC. Stellato has not scheduled any visits as of yet, but plans to visit with some schools after the season.
