Burks & his Auburndale football team are off to a 4-1 start in 2019, with wins over Haines City, Bayshore, Pasco & Bartow to begin the season. Burks currently has not visited or scheduled any official visits with any schools as of yet, but plans to visit a list of schools when the season comes to an end.
Last season, Burks had 45 total tackles & 2 interceptions for the Bloodhounds, who finished 3-7 & missed the playoffs.
Auburndale 1st year head coach Kyle Sasser, on Burks. "This kid has special talent, he is all over the field, whether it's covering the opposing team's best receiver or their average receiver. "The kid loves to win, just as much as I do", Sasser added.
Auburndale will take the field on Friday night, with a home District 6A-9 contest vs Bayside.
