The Tampa Bay area week 3 game of the week hits Pinellas County for the first time this season, as the Jesuit Tigers (1-1, 0-0) battle the Clearwater Tornadoes (2-0, 0-0) on Friday night.
Jesuit (1-1) is coming off a emphatic 39-6 win last week at Immokalee in what was a rematch of the 2018 Class 5A regional semifinals. Jesuit junior quarterback Kiael Kelly finished last week's performance, going 11/18, for 132 passing yards & had a touchdown pass in the win. Junior running back Ricky Parks had 7 carries, for 65 yards & had 2 rushing touchdowns in the win last week. Jesuit senior wide receiver Clark Wichman led the way with 60 receiving yards in last week's win at Immokalee.
Players to watch for Jesuit: Quarterback Kiael Kelly who holds offers from Coastal Carolina, Illinois, Indiana & Kansas. Tight end Jonathan Odom who is currently a Florida commit. Running back Ricky Parks who currently holds offers from Iowa, Penn State, Central Michigan, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville & several others.
Clearwater (2-0) is coming off a 44-12 win last week at East Lake, which was their 1st win over East Lake since 2016. Clearwater senior quarterback Rent Montie went 18/32, for 303 passing yards & threw for 4 touchdowns in the win & also had a rushing touchdown. Senior running back Latrez Bradley led the way with 13 carries, for 49 yards. Senior wide receiver Keedrik Murray had 11 catches for 238 yards & had 3 receiving touchdowns.
Players to watch for Clearwater: Quarterback Rent Montie who is committed to Lafayette. Wide receiver Keedrik Murray who holds offers from Kentucky, Southern Miss & USF. Junior defensive lineman Tim Williams who leads the team, with 19 total tackles & 5.5 sacks this season.
