On Tuesday afternoon, the Kansas State Wildcats men's basketball program landed their 3rd commit & the 1st from the Sunshine State for the 2020 class. The latest comes from West Oaks Academy small forward Selton Miguel. Miguel will join Pensacola native Goodnews Kpegeol as Florida natives on the Kansas State men's basketball program next season.
Miguel chose Kansas State over Western Kentucky, FIU, Iowa State, James Madison, Old Dominion, TCU & several others.
Miguel is ranked the 138th overall prospect in the nation, along with the 28th ranked small forward & the 10th overall ranked prospect in the state of Florida, according to 247Sports.com
Miguel, told Riley Gates of 247Sports on why he chose Kansas State. "I have a good relationship with Coach Bruce and Coach Henderson." He adds, "On my visit to Kansas State, they welcomed me with open arms & were very supportive since the beginning of the recruiting process."
Miguel, is listed as a 3-star prospect & listed at 6'4, 195 pounds, according to 247Sports. Prior to committing to Kansas State, Miguel also took an official visit to Western Kentucky, where he told WKURivals.com's Sean Williams, "To be honest, I didn't expect the facilities to look like that. They got great facilities. It's a big campus and I really enjoyed the visit."
Miguel, plays on Team Breakdown during the travel ball circuit, which is represented by the Under Armour Association.
