CLEARWATER- Penn State has landed their running back from the 2020 class, as American Collegiate (Clearwater, Fla.) 2020 running back Keyvone Lee committed to Penn State on Monday night. Lee chose the Nitany Lions over Florida, Florida State, LSU & UCF. Lee made the official announcement on his Instagram page.
Lee joins Cocoa running back Caziah Holmes as the 2nd Penn State commit to hail from the Sunshine State, as Holmes announced his commitment to Penn State earlier this month. In 2018, Lee had 70 carries, for 904 rushing yards & 7 rushing touchdowns for back then Superior Collegiate.
Lee is listed at 6'0 & 223 pounds, is the 23rd Penn State commit for the Class of 2020. According to 247Sports, Lee is ranked the 216th highest prospect & the 17th highest ranked running back in the nation.
Lee on Penn State head football coach James Franklin. "He's a great guy, he sees me in his backfield, he believes in me to do great things & I can contribute right away."
Lee visited with Penn State at the end of April & fell in love with the campus & the coaching staff right from the start of the visit.
Lee is ranked #13 among the Tampa Bay Times Top 100 players to watch in the 2019 season. Although Lee, was originally a Florida verbal commit back in 2018, until he decommitted back in February to re-open his recruiting process.
Penn State currently has the #14 ranked recruiting class in 2020, according to 247Sports.
