American Heritage (Plantation) 2020 DB Daryl Porter Jr. names Top 5 schools

Updated: Sep 14, 2019

On Saturday night, one of the top defensive backs in the nation has narrowed down his list of schools down to 5.

Those schools are Minnesota, Ole Miss, TCU, Utah & West Virginia. Porter Jr. this season comes in as the 138th ranked defensive back in the nation for the 2020 class, according to 247 Sports.

Porter Jr. visited Minnesota back in the spring & told 247 Sports' Ryan Burns "Minnesota's campus and facilities are very different than what I've seen before, but I loved it. I also thought that their practice was fast-paced as they got a lot of work in." Minnesota has been recruiting Porter Jr. hard, according to Minnesota defensive backs coach Rod Chance.

Porter Jr. has not set a commitment date, but we could expect him to announce his college decision sometime before February's national signing day.
